  1. If I decide NOT to rent a car, where would be the best area in La Paz to stay if I want walking access to a sandy beach? I love swimming! Thinking of staying a month or more.

    • La Paz is located on a bay, which people don’t tend to swim in. You have terrific beaches all around La Paz, which you can visit by bus. The bus runs every 60-90 minutes and will take you to Playa Balandra or Playa Tecolote. Some lovely small beaches in the Costa Baja resort area are swimmable. Would you be staying in a hotel or Airbnb?
