Is Cabo San Lucas safe? This is a question that I get asked a lot. And, to be honest, it’s a tricky question to answer.
Cabo San Lucas is located in Mexico, and, as we can expect, there is always the perception that it can be a dodgy place.
However, I have never felt unsafe in Cabo San Lucas. I have always felt safe walking around the city and taking taxis, and I think it’s a matter of common sense for all of us.
There are always precautions that you should take when traveling to any new place:
- Don’t flash your money around
- Don’t leave your drinks unattended
- Be aware of your surroundings
- Don’t go out at night alone
- Don’t walk at night in places you don’t know or have not enough lighting
If you do these things, you should be fine.
So, is Cabo San Lucas safe? I would say yes. But, as with most places, it depends on how safe you want it to be.
