Why Visiting La Paz

La Paz is one of the most gorgeous and underrated cities in Mexico, and despite its charm, it has been kept away from the “Hall of Fame” for many years.

For adventure seekers, this is so true that more and more Mexicans and Expats alike choose this city as their new home. It’s unbelievable.

From its world-famous beaches to its thriving nightlife scene, there is something for every visitor in La Paz, once you come – as it happened to me – you’ll want to stay.

But let’s go straight to the point, these are the best 8 things to do in La Paz Mexico.

La Paz has a fantastic landscape worthy of any lifestyle magazine, and its main attraction is the incredible beaches you can visit here. This is a hot spot you cannot miss.

Perhaps, what makes these beaches so unique is their most notable feature, and this would have to be how clear they are. Any activity you perform in these places is a delight, paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, you name it.

For those who are wondering, the most popular beaches in La Paz are Balandra, Tecolote, El Saltito, El Caimancito, and El Coromuel. And if you are like me, you’ll not get enough of them.

To enjoy this fantastic experience, you can take a tour to Isla Espíritu Santo and get up close and personal with these playful pups at Los Islotes!

Special considerations: It is wise to learn how to read the sea lions’ behavior for everyone’s safety as big males might get highly protective of females and pups.

Simply by not chasing any sea lion and keeping a safe distance will be more than enough! Sometimes adolescent sea lions can approach humans to play; if that happens to you, stay calm and enjoy the moment!

7. Go for a Sportfishing Adventure

If you want to be a legend, go for a sportfishing tour, trust me, you’ll not regret this one! This is probably the most exciting activity in the area, and even tho it’s not cheap, it worth every single penny.

This is because the Bay of La Paz is one of the areas in the Baja Peninsula that hosts several gamefish species that will be easy to catch with the help of seasoned La Paz fishers.
